10:14. Braking signal switch

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

After removal or replacement of the main brake cylinder or the vacuum amplifier the switch of a signal of braking has to be checked and if necessary is adjusted.

The switch of stoplights is in the top part of a pedal of a brake. By each pressing a brake pedal the switch provides fire of a signal of braking.

Adjustment of the switch

For adjustment of the switch release lock-nuts (1); tightening or unscrewing the switch (2), expose the correct gap.

At not pressed pedal of a brake measure distance between a switch plunger emphasis point on pedals and its case. Compare the received value to the specified distance And in subsection 10.2.

If the measured value of a gap is more specified, then disconnect a wire from the switch, release lock-nuts and, tightening or unscrewing the switch, adjust distance. Attach conducting and check operation of the switch.
