3.2.7. Capital repairs – alternatives

GENERAL INFORMATION

At independent performance of capital repairs various options are possible. The defining factor is the condition of the block of cylinders which in some cases is expedient for replacing. Even at satisfactory condition of the block of cylinders it is necessary to otkhonningovat openings under cylinders. Acquisition of separate spare parts

If check shows that the block of cylinders and the majority of details are in satisfactory condition and can be used further, then the most expedient from the economic point of view is purchase of separate spare parts. The block of cylinders, conrod and piston group and a bent shaft should be surveyed especially carefully. Auxiliary elements of the engine – removal

Auxiliary elements of the engine (inlet and final collectors, coupling, spark plugs, distributor of ignition and an oil filter) can be removed separately from the installed engine, but the easiest to carry out this procedure during an engine partition.
