7.2.6. System of catching of vapors of gasoline (EVAP system)


System of catching of vapors of gasoline (M10 engine)

This system is intended for catching of vapors of gasoline from the fuel equipment due to absorption in a tank with absorbent carbon. At the movement of the car the valve of a purge is slightly opened and couples podsasyvatsya in a collector and are burned in engine cylinders. Idling and at warming up of the engine of couple the valve of a purge is closed not to pereobogatit mix.

On the considered cars valves of a purge of 2 types – with the electromagnetic and pneumatic drive are installed. The valve is mounted on the soaking-up collector or at a tank with an absorber.

At malfunction in system abnormal operation of the heated-up engine is observed. Malfunction in this system does not influence launch of the engine.


Purge pneumatic valve
1. Disconnect hoses from the valve and blow via the bigger union, – air should not pass. On a part of cars the thermopneumatic valve which opens at a liquid temperature in the cooling system of 46 °C is provided. This valve is usually mounted on the soaking-up collector, near temperature sensor.
2. Make sure that during creation of depression on the small union air passes through the valve freely.
3. If check yields negative result, then replace the valve.
The valve with electromagnetic management
4. Disconnect hoses and wires from the valve.
5. Make sure that at inclusion of ignition from the valve the click is listened.
6. Otherwise check tension on the valve.
7. If tension is, then replace the valve. Otherwise check the processor block and conducting.
Tank with absorbent carbon
8. Disconnect hoses from a tank, previously having marked them.
9. Remove a tank. At detection of damages replace a tank.
