9.1. Introduction

GENERAL INFORMATION

Coupling

On cars from the manual transmission dry, one-disk coupling with a diaphragm press spring and a hydraulic actuator is established. Depending on a design of the established flywheel in coupling 2 types of frictional disks are used. On a usual flat flywheel frictional disks with buffer and damping springs are established. Buffer springs are built in between frictional sections and intended for smoother inclusion of coupling. Damping springs (quenchers of tortional fluctuations, are strengthened on a disk nave) smooth the strong pulsations arising because of sharp changes of frequency of rotation of the crankshaft. On a dual flywheel damping springs are built in in a flywheel.

Driveshaft

The driveshaft is two-section, with an average support and the sliding shlitsevy connection, connects a back axis with the check point via 2 cardan hinges. The shaft is connected to transmission via the elastic coupling. On a part of cars between a flange of a shaft of the check point and the coupling the quencher of fluctuations is established. A forward part of a shaft is aligned with a check point flange by means of the plug.

Main transfer

The main transfer consists of differential (includes leading and ring conducted gear wheels and also gear wheels of differential) and flanges to which via CV JOINTS half shafts fasten. Repair of differential is carried out only in car service.

Half shafts and CV JOINTS

On each of half shafts about 2 CV JOINTS are installed. The internal CV JOINT fastens to differential flanges bolts, external CV JOINT fastens on a nave of a back wheel a nut, navernuty on the carving termination of a shlitsevy part. CV JOINTS are filled with special lubricant and closed by covers which condition should be checked periodically. The external CV JOINT changes complete with a half shaft.
