1.1.31. Actions at a wheel puncture

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Reduce smoothly speed, without changing the direction of the movement. Curtail on a roadside, stop on the flat platform with a hard coating.

2. Stop the engine and include signals of an emergency stop.

3. Transfer the lever to situation P (on automatic transmission) of or include a backing (on mechanical transmission), put the car on the emergency brake.

4. Ask passengers to go out of the car.

5. Strictly observe the following security measures when using of a jack:

  – act according to the instruction attached to a jack;
  – to use a jack only for raising of the car when changing a wheel;
  – it is forbidden to climb under the car when it is lifted on a jack;
  – it is forbidden to start the engine when the car is lifted on a jack.
