3.2.3. Capital repairs – the general instructions

GENERAL INFORMATION

The objective indicators of the general condition of the engine indicating the need of capital repairs of the engine with full dismantling are results of measurements of pressure of oil and a compression in cylinders. The oil pressure sensor on the M10 models is screwed in the left back part of a head of cylinders, on the M20 models – in the block of cylinders under an oil filter, on M40 – in a back part of the case of an oil filter. For measurement of pressure turn out the sensor and screw the confided manometer.

Prevention

At capital repairs of the engine all hoses of the cooling system, drive belts, thermostat, oil pump and the pump of cooling liquid are subject to obligatory replacement. Before performance of work define a condition of the block of cylinders as acquisition of the restored engine, but not repair available can appear more expedient.
